新地圖學工作坊
國際地圖學會(International Cartographic Association, ICA)在2011年25屆年會上成立一個新地圖學研究學術委員會(Commission on Neocartography),該主要委員會主要致力於新世代的地圖繪製技術探討，主要是有關Big Data、Social Media及VGI等如何空間化與地圖視學化研究議題。
2012年9月5日在英國UCL舉辦一場ICA Neocartography Commission Workshop，會中發表的專題如下：
- Ben Hennig (U of Sheffield) “From geovisualisation to neocartography: Maps in a digital world”
- Richard Fairhurst (OSM Foundation) “The unstoppable advance of OpenStreetMap”
- Chris Watson “Hyperreal Augmented Narratives”
- Graham Hooper “Drawing on Pyschogeography – GPS, photography and the new-map”
- Prof Ifan Shepherd (Middlesex University) “Maps – GIS – Experiential Engagement: a possible roadmap for Neocartography?”
- Gary Gale (Nokia) “History Repeats Itself And So Does The Map“
