計畫名稱:

空間資訊科學與跨領域研究─台江內海地區的人文社會經濟發展與環境變遷

台江內海以漢人為主的人文社會經濟活動,自明鄭時期以來開始興起,陸續也帶動了全台各地的開發,四百年來人文、社會、經濟的變遷與發展,紀錄了台灣發展史上重要的軌跡,而該地區自然地景的變化包含了海岸線的變遷與曾文溪、鹽水溪的改道,也深深影響了近代台南地區的發展,本研究計畫試圖運用時空資訊平台,整合人文與自然背景的跨領域研究團隊,透過長時期的地景變遷、土地利用、社會經濟發展等資料,探討台江內海地區人與自然環境之間的互動與適應過程。

子計畫一將致力於全區既有地質、地貌、水文變遷研究成果之整合,並做更進一步的探討,子計畫二開展荷蘭人據台以來台江地區人文社會經濟發展的研究,並提供給子計畫一與子計畫三台江內海地區各時期的空間資訊資源,子計畫三將應用國內外現有之分析與模擬方法,探討台江地區日據以來土地利用情形及影響其變遷的驅動因子;釐清驅動因子與土地變遷之各種關連性,子計畫四企圖協助其他團隊成員規劃有利的計算資源,並藉由開放原始碼套件及全球資訊網路,整合並提供有效的 地理空間資訊服務與知識本體架構。

Project Title:

Humanity, Socio-Economic Development and Environment Changes in the Region of Tai-jiang Inner Sea: An Inter-Disciplinary Study of Geo-Information Science

Han Chinese people have begun their social, economic activities in Tai-jiang Inner Sea since Ming Zheng Time. Its development led the exploitation in everywhere of Taiwan. For more than four hundred years, the development and transition of humanity, society and economy in this area have been recorded as the most important page of Taiwan history. In addition, the remarkable changes of natural landforms have affected deeply the recent development of Tainan area, including the changes of coastlines and the Tsenwen and Yenshui rivers. In this project, we focus on the use of a spatio-temporal information platform to integrate the interdisciplinary team members with humanity and natural sciences background. Considering a variety of long-term historical data including the changes of the terrain and land use as well as social and economic development, the course of history regarding human-environment interaction and adaptation in Tai-jiang Inner Sea will be well studied. Sub-project 1 will focus on the integration of the research studies in geology, geomorphology and hydrology and further explore the causes of the natural landforms in this area. Sub-project 2 will focus on the research of social and economic development of Tai-jiang Inner Sea in the past four hundred years and provide the historical spatial resources and maps for sub-project 1 and sub-project 3. Sub-project 3 will apply the latest analyzing and simulation methods to elucidate the correlation between land use situations and their driven factors in Tai-jiang Inner Sea. Sub-project 4 will help other project members to allocate the optimized computation resources and provide integrated geo-information and the framework of ontology through open source packages and internet.
