臺北市政府推出「台北親山步道通」APP
臺北市政府工務局大地工程處針對臺北市129條登山步道中挑選35條親山步道，推出「台北親山步道通」APP，內容除了簡介之外，還有詳細特色介紹、交通方式、線路圖、步道小檔案、人文及生態與步道剪影。使用者可輕易獲得步道資訊，線路圖也可以利用智慧型手機的手勢放大與縮小功能讓自己更能了解步道的情境。
這個APP比較特別之處是具備緊急求救功能，當登山遇到意外時，可按下緊急求救鈕，該系統會先定出使用者所在位置，然後發出緊急求救訊息給附近(方圓2公里)使用該系統者，以協助幫忙求救。
